Through our Third-Party Billing department at ODU, we make it easier for students, parents and business sponsorships to manage the financial aspects of their recipient’s education. With access to additional financial resources and support, this will help to ensure that our student’s educational goals are within reach. We believe that understanding the cost of your education is key to your success. Our Third-Party Billing services are designed to make your financial responsibilities clear and manageable, so you can focus on what matters most—your academic journey at ODU.
Getting Started
- The student or the third party organization will submit tuition assistance documentation, along with their third party organizational information and requirements for billing.
- The third party organization will contact the third party billing department to set up a third party billing organizational contract (Memorandum Of Understanding/MOU) or account .
- Once the organizational account is set up and the tuition assistance documentation is received, the tuition assistance document is reviewed to make sure all pertinent information has been correctly provided. Student’s tuition assistance funding is then added to the third party organization’s account. An invoice is created and sent for payment.
Important Information For Students:
- Students need to review their tuition assistance (TA) documents to ensure important information is correctly listed before submitting the document. (Ex. Third Party Organizational contact/representative information and billing requirements)
- Students should frequently review their student accounts to make sure that there are no discrepancies or outstanding balances not covered by the TA document.
- Students need to make sure that the course(s) that they are registered for match the course(s) listed on their TA documents.
