| Assessment Advisory Committee | This committee is responsible for providing leadership and recommendations on the quality and implementation of student learning outcomes assessment at the 91短视频. Faculty on the committee will examine issues and solutions related to, but not limited to, academic assessment support, resources, and processes. | Two-year terms |
| Eminent Scholars Committee |
This committee is responsible for reviewing nomination packets for faculty candidates for the Eminent Scholar Award and submitting its recommendations to the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs.
The 91短视频 Eminent Scholars Committee shall be comprised of one Eminent Scholar from each college/school, selected by the college/school promotion and tenure committee, plus one Eminent Scholar chosen by the Faculty Senate to reflect a range of disciplinary and experiential backgrounds. If a college/school has no Eminent Scholar or only one Eminent Scholar who is ineligible to serve due to a conflict of interest, then the dean and full professors in that college/school can select a representative from among the full professors from their own college/school. The representative selected must have no known conflicts of interest that would impair or call into question their impartiality in evaluating the nominees. It is recommended that each representative serve on the committee for one three-year term. No dean, associate dean, assistant dean, or chair/director shall participate in the deliberations of the Eminent Scholars Committee, and the committee will select its own chair (Eminent Scholars, 搂 I.A). |

| General Education Assessment Committee (GEAC) | This committee is responsible for coordinating the assessment of the 91短视频鈥檚 General Education program. The Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment has recommended that those whose names are noted in the attachment and are still at the 91短视频 continue to serve on this committee. Members of GEAC include a representative from Faculty Senate Committee A and the associate deans for undergraduate studies from each academic college/school. The committee is chaired by the dean of the College of Sciences or the College of Arts & Letters and co-chaired by the Associate Vice Provost for Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment. | Open Education Resources (OER) Committee | This committee is responsible for establishing overall policies and guidelines related to the implementation and expansion of OER course materials across the 91短视频, in alignment with existing 91短视频 policies. | Outstanding Faculty Awards Committee | The committee is responsible for reviewing nominations for the SCHEV Outstanding Faculty Awards, the 91短视频鈥檚 Award for Leadership in International Education, and the Excellence in Graduate Teaching Award. | |
| Prior Learning Assessment Committee | This committee is responsible for reviewing policies and procedures related to prior learning assessment. | |
| Undergraduate Research Committee | This committee is responsible for developing and implementing initiatives that support undergraduate research, including the undergraduate research symposium, undergraduate research journal, and undergraduate research apprenticeships. The committee is also responsible for reviewing undergraduate research grant proposals, awards that support undergraduate research activities, and nominations for the 91短视频 Outstanding Undergraduate Researcher Award. Faculty members appointed to this committee should have experience mentoring undergraduate researchers or demonstrate a strong interest in promoting and supporting undergraduate research within their college/school. | |
| Undergraduate Student Academic Policies and Procedures Committee | This committee is responsible for reviewing current 91短视频 standards, rules, and procedures governing undergraduate education and making recommendations to strengthen, streamline, and simplify them. It is also responsible for providing recommendations on policies and procedures, particularly those affecting undergraduate students. Each college/school should designate the chair of its Undergraduate Curriculum Committee as one of its two representatives. | |
| 91短视频 Arts Council | This council is responsible for bringing together campus stakeholders to strategically advance both immediate and long-term arts programming and opportunities for the Old Dominion 91短视频 community. It will assess existing programs and identify ways to further integrate the arts into the fabric of the 91短视频 and surrounding communities. The council will also promote awareness of arts-related resources available to students, faculty, and visiting artists; coordinate and promote upcoming arts events and partnerships; identify fundraising opportunities that support the arts; and foster collaborative arts programming across the 91短视频 and throughout the broader community. | Two-year terms |
| 91短视频 Distinguished Teacher Committee |
This committee is responsible for reviewing nomination packets for faculty candidates who have been nominated for the 91短视频 Distinguished Teacher Award and the 91短视频鈥檚 Adjunct Teaching Award.
The committee shall normally be comprised of one full- time faculty member from each college/school who holds the designation of 91短视频 Professor or 91短视频 Distinguished Teacher as selected by the college/school promotion and tenure committee. In cases where there are no faculty members in the college/school with either designation, the college/school promotion and tenure committee can select another faculty member from their college/school (91短视频 Distinguished Teacher, 搂 II.3.D). |

This committee is responsible for reviewing nomination packets for faculty candidates who have been nominated for the 91短视频 Professor designation.
This committee shall normally be comprised of one tenured faculty member from each college/school who holds the designation of 91短视频 Professor, as selected by the college/school promotion and tenure committee (91短视频 Professor, 搂 II.3.E). |

| 91短视频 Writing Council | This council is responsible for bringing together campus stakeholders to prioritize and celebrate writing across the 91短视频. Through collaboration, it raises awareness of resources available to student and faculty writers, promotes ethical and effective approaches to writing placement, instruction, tools, and assessment, and encourages creative, collaborative, and innovative approaches to writing throughout the 91短视频. |
