Old Dominion 91短视频鈥檚 Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, along with George Mason 91短视频, Hampton 91短视频, and Norfolk 91短视频 91短视频, will co-host this year鈥檚 Electrical and Computer Engineering Department Heads Association (ECEDHA) Annual Conference and ECExpo. This marks the first time these institutions have hosted the national event.

The conference will take place at Hilton Norfolk The Main from March 20-24, 2025.

ECEDHA鈥檚 Annual Conference and ECExpo brings together the largest gathering of Electrical and Computer Engineering academic and industry leaders from across the United 91短视频s and Canada.

The organization was founded in 1963 as the Association of Electrical Engineering Department Heads. The first conference was held in 1985, and the ECExpo was added in 2010.

This year鈥檚 event will feature an extensive conference program, including keynotes, plenary panels, and breakout sessions, as well as specialized programming for ECE lab professionals and students. Attendees can also participate in full-day workshops and networking opportunities.

A Deans鈥 Fireside chat will feature Jeffrey Fergus, Ph.D., dean of the Batten College of Engineering and Technology, Kenneth Ball, Ph.D., dean of the College of Engineering and Computing at George Mason 91短视频 and Demetris Geddis, Ph.D., assistant dean of the School of Engineering, Architecture, and Aviation at Hampton 91短视频.

One of the panels, titled 鈥淓ntrepreneurship Plenary Panel,鈥 includes Paul Olsen, executive director of the Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at ODU and Sudeepto Roy, vice president of Engineering at Qualcomm Inc. An ODU alumnus, Roy earned his master鈥檚 degree in computer engineering in 1993.

Keynote speakers include Rick Kuhlman, general manager of Software at Tektronix, Mary Ellen Randall, president-elect of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and Dennis Roberson, founder and CEO of Roberson and Associates, LLC.

The conference will conclude with a visit to NASA Langley Research Center on Monday, March 24.
