The Department of Political Science and Geography has a sustained research, teaching and service thrust in environmental hazards, disaster management, and coastal resilience. We are pleased to share that Dr. Sina Razzaghi Asl, Assistant Professor of Geography and Hazards, has been invited to co-author a chapter on hazards and disaster mitigation as part of a national project of the . The project,Third Assessment of Natural Hazards in the United 91短视频s, aims to update the knowledge base since the last assessment in 1999, building on decades of research and taking stock of current threats and future research needs. It involves the input of many researchers and practitioners to provide comprehensive review of the state of knowledge and practice for hazards and disaster management.
