Biography:
Anastasia Migliozzi
Violist, Educator, Chamber Music Coach
With over three decades of experience as a violist, Anastasia Migliozzi has been an active member of the Virginia Symphony since 1990. As a passionate performer and educator, she is also a member of the Harbor Quartet, plays regularly with the Virginia Arts Festival and maintains a private teaching studio. Anastasia serves on the faculty of Old Dominion 91短视频, Norfolk 91短视频 91短视频 and the Governor鈥檚 School of the Arts, where she inspires the next generation of musicians.
Anastasia鈥檚 extensive training includes mentorship from esteemed teachers such as Lillian Fuchs, William Lincer, Emanuel Vardi, and Wayne Brooks. She has further honed her chamber music skills with renowned groups like the Borodin Trio and studied under Joseph Fuchs and Samuel Rhodes among many others. Her commitment to music has taken her to prestigious festivals including the Aspen Music Festival, Eastern Music Festival, and Jeunesse鈥檚 Musicales, Canada.
In addition to her role with the Virginia Symphony, Anastasia has been a member of the Orchestra Sinfonia Dell鈥橢milia Romagna 鈥淎rturo Toscanini鈥 and the Houston Ballet Orchestra. She actively participates in the Hampton Roads area, playing both viola and violin for various arts organizations, ensembles and gigs.
When she鈥檚 not performing or teaching, Anastasia enjoys indulging in her hobbies, including knitting and binge-watching British murder mystery shows. She resides in Norfolk with her wonderful husband and their quirky whippet, who keeps life entertaining.
