The Center for Bioelectronics develops and mentors future researchers in the bio-community by supporting a variety of educational programs including G-Rise Scholars, CBE Scholars, BRIDGES, and a week-long STEM Summer Institute.  

G-Rise Scholars

The G-RISE program fosters diversity among our Ph.D. students with scholarships, a 6-week summer bridge program, internships, and academic workshops.

CBE Scholars

This competitive scholarship program serves to develop future leaders in bioelectrical science, bioscience, and bioengineering through comprehensive doctoral research.

Undergraduate Research

Dive into exciting research projects, collaborate with renowned faculty, and embark on a journey of discovery.

STEM Summer Institute

A one-week academic program for rising 6–12th graders who express a desire to pursue a career in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

Bridges

A research experience for talented high school students who will work with top researchers in the field of biotechnology and gain hands-on experience. Program details coming soon. 

Biomedical Research Seminars

The Fall 2025 Biomedical Research Seminars will be held in-person in the first-floor Conference Room of the IRP2 Building on Monarch Way (4211 Monarch Way, 23508, Norfolk).
