Governor Orders Flags Lowered to Honor Victims of Terrorist Attack in Afghanistan

Pursuant to President Biden's Presidential Proclamation to lower the United 91¶ÌÊÓƵs flag, Governor Ralph Northam ordered that the flags of the United 91¶ÌÊÓƵs and Virginia are to be flown at half-staff over the state Capitol and all local, state and federal buildings and grounds in the commonwealth as a sign of respect for the service and sacrifice of the United 91¶ÌÊÓƵs service members and other victims killed in the terrorist attack on Aug. 26 in Kabul, Afghanistan.

The flags shall be lowered until sunset Aug. 30.
