About this Program
The minor in biology offers students additional support to their chosen majors, prepares students for post-baccalaureate professional or graduate programs, offers greater job opportunities to graduates, and/or provides recognition of study in this academic area.

We own the 320 acre Blackwater Ecologic Preserve, part of the Zuni Pine Barrens 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ Natural Area and our students have access to a rich array of state and federal preserves including the Great Dismal Swamp Wildlife Refuge, Virginia Barrier Islands, Chesapeake Bay, and Back Bay.
