About this Program

Old Dominion 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ offers a Master of Medical and Health Professions Education (M.M.H.P.E.) degree designed to prepare leaders in health professions education. This program equips students to educate and inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals. M.M.H.P.E. students and faculty engage in research that enhances our understanding of health professions education and the diverse backgrounds and perceptions of learners. Students can partner with faculty on long-term research projects related to:

  • AI and technology in anatomy education
  • Burnout, belonging, resilience, and well-being of health professions students and educators
  • Faculty use of microlearning in health professions education
  • Impacts of pre-failure dispositions on health professions students’ challenge engagement
  • Use of structure debriefing tools for clinical assessment of health professions students
